@ScottAdamsSays Do players like Serena Williams never again get the honor and prestige and reward $ of playing on famous courts like Wimbledon, or do male mid-tear college players get invited specifically and only to play her? If latter, can the male player win huge $ too?

What would the market want? Hint: Same as today.

Not convinced that robust market would still exist for top female athletes. The again, the current situation may be artificially boosting the value of such athletes.

Even if a market did exist for people that want to watch female players, women would still never qualify for places like Wimbledon or big money games. They would only be playing at mid-level college venues, or mid-level college male player would get to play at Wimbledon for big $

I think that there would be *some* market. Legacy events like Wimbledon would restructure. What I am doubtful of is that there would be enough of a market to maintain the income of the top female athletes. There are always winners & losers in any market restructuring.

That's the Q - how does Wimbledon restructure? Have Serena play a mid-level college male? Does he get the same pot she would have if he wins? That's a HUGE boost / jump for him, or a huge drop for her. Or do they go back to what we have now, which wrecks Scott's proposal?

I think trying to devise a solution now would be too speculative. More then likely the endgame would be unimaginable now, in part because we really don’t know the market for different “levels” of sports viewing interest.

For example, I would never have predicted viewship for Little League World Series.

I'm only talking about if Serena and other women players are going to have the opportunity to play at Wimbledon and other premier courts. There's really only two ways it can happen, or under Scott's system, not at all. Is that what we want as a society - women beneath?

My system allows it fine. The market would demand it and sports would provide.

Then your system becomes what we have right now, which isn't really a new system.

As with many hypotheticals, we really cannot imagine what the future would look like. Except that it would definitely be different.
