Yes, but transgender rights must not be allowed to impact adversely on women’s rights... as in sport etc. Otherwise it will simply promote further inequality.https://twitter.com/SenSanders/status/1181561367716716544 …

Should bad male athletes also have sports rights? They also don’t get to play competitive sports. Don’t make the team.

Sorry Scott. Skills, gender and muscle mass are at issue. Tennis: male#1 will beat female #1. Male #100 will beat female #100. Bad male athletes will likely beat bad female athletes. Transgender vs women is flat out unfair. Maybe the solution is to hv a transgender division.

None of that addresses my opinion that everyone should compete at the level they can achieve, regardless of gender.

This is a ridiculous strawman argument. Men’s competitions are almost always “open” meaning anyone can enter and compete and the competent rise to the top. That has nothing to do with the transgender male-to-female athletes crushing biological women athletes debate.

If everyone plays at their own level, regardless of gender, you can design no fairer system.

If your idea of a “fair” system was implemented that would mean we’d never see a biological female athlete reach pinnacle of any sport ever again. Because of the sex differences between biological men & women. Biological women deserve their own spaces of athletic competition.

Those spaces deserve to be protected so biological women athletes can compete fairly against each other & the competent athletes be justly rewarded & recognized for their efforts.

SO under Scott's ONE, but fair and meritocritous, division system; women will almost never reach the highest levels of just about all competitive sports. Weird hill for Scott to die on...

Correct. Just like 99.999% of men. Is that important to fix? Serena Williams would still be a superstar.

Her ranking against men would not stop her star power. Same as now.
