Yes, but transgender rights must not be allowed to impact adversely on women’s rights... as in sport etc. Otherwise it will simply promote further inequality.https://twitter.com/SenSanders/status/1181561367716716544 …

If the Supreme Court wants to be on the right side of history, it must recognize that transgender people are entitled to the same civil and human rights as everybody else. Period. https://www.teenvogue.com/story/supreme-court-transgender-employment-discrimination-case-aimee-stephens-op-ed …

Should bad male athletes also have sports rights? They also don’t get to play competitive sports. Don’t make the team.

Only if you separate sports by gender, which is sexist and antiquated. Let everyone play in whatever league they can compete.

Fairness is an illusion. Equality of opportunity is what we’re after.

It is sexist. The hard truth is that most observers don’t care about a lower class of competition. Many female sports wouldn’t exist if governed by demand. So why do we elevate the female class in nearly all sports? Probably as a concession, and likely not a bad one.

          Replying to @AssemblyMetal @ScottAdamsSays and

The reason for female only sports cannot be simply “because female athletes wouldn’t exist if the class was removed”. The reason must support why it’s good to have female athletes. A plea for fairness fails since as @ScottAdamsSays correctly states, sports are unfair for 99.999%.

Proposal: 1. "Sports" where anyone can compete based on ability. 2. "Protected" sports, with artificial exclusions to achieve other benefits: Women's, Youth, Amateur (Olympics, collegiate), Senior, Special Olympics, etc. Your principles apply to 1 but not 2.

That rare hypothetical woman who can cut it with the men probably wouldn't exist if growing up it was no fun to learn the game with a bunch of guys kicking her butt.

Separating sports into M &F is the opposite of sexist!Look at the final leg in the 4x 400 m mixed relay at the World Athletics last week, showed exactly that the best women in the world have no chance against the best men. Also tennis.&USA world soccer champs beaten by 14 yr olds.
