I don’t get all the “American people” rhetoric from Trump defenders. He lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million. 70% of the country doesn’t like him. He’s never passed 50% approval. I support the electoral college. But I don’t see how “the people” are behind him.

I did travel the Country in 2016 working as a Union Supervisor on some very large Jobs. Most of the Guys in the Trades were going for
@realDonaldTrump Tough on China, Jobs and Anti NAFTA type trade deals. Also, Most middleclass voters grew tired of selective enforcement of law. -
Interesting snapshot of a section of the population. As always, making broad conclusions based on anecdotal experience is difficult. That's why polls are weighted and randomly conducted to get a more comprehensive result.
