Can you describe a coherent way he (or anyone) could make money on such a thing? I can't think of one. If you can, I'd be impressed. What do you think is the monetary or other value of said hypothetical data (which he isn't collecting)? Hundreds of dollars?

His treatment of Code of vets and his friendship with Twitter jack. Then with a bit more research his connection to Soros. Yet a bit more...he plays the victim, a lot. Not a trustworthy sort. His treatment of the marine that accidentally released his public phone number is scuzzy

Fair enough. The "data mining" criticism (as you note, an over-expanded use of the term) I received was more about people feeling they had to give up private information they didn't realize was a precondition of receiving charity than the idea it was a means of money-making.

There has been a lot of confusion, and as a “radical personal responsibility” person, I see that as on Bill to explain. He was attacked and lied about, hard to blame him for blocking lies. In any early stage project even charity, there will be good faith errors.
