Could you solve climate risk with an app that pairs people who want to plant a tree with people who have a good place to put it? How many trees per person? One? Two? #ClimateChange

My understanding is that there are more trees than ever. Does this really change warming? Does it affect the water cycle? Does location matter, so would they need to be planted in China and India? I really don’t think $700 is too much, but is that effective?

Note that "planting a tree" doesn't mean just burying an acorn. Most tree seeds don't make it to small saplings. You'd need to start your tree in a small pot, match the species (or strain within species) to the soil/locale, then plant the growing tree.

Does someone know how trees impacts methane? Methane seems to be the bigger “risk” since it can be released from the earth in a number of ways in large quantities.

I know plants consume CO2 and produce oxygen but I don’t know what if any is their relationship with methane or how to reduce that risk.
