Adobe did the same thing to block the ability to edit currency images in Photoshop. A simple software crack will fix it, or you can use one of a dozen ways to bypass it.

They might try but it will be really hard. How does the printer know it's printing a part for a gun as opposed to any other random piece of plastic?

The software will have to be updated much like anti virus software as new designs are released. It would be very difficult.

You may be correct. Copy machines already have anti currency counterfeiting built in. Drones are geofenced from flying in controlled airspace. The only problem is the CNC machines would have to be updated almost like virus profiles for each new design that is released.
