It bothers me that partisans who follow you will cherry pick @va_shiva's points that support their existing conspiracy theories and continue to spread misinformation about vaccines, while ignoring the more nuanced, substance of his argument.

If vaccine safety was such a slam dunk you wonder why we have media blackouts and social media de-platforming taking place. Why industry has no liability and we have aggressive mandates being enacted. Welcome an open and honest debate. There is a reason this isn't taking place

Huh? We are here on twitter taking about it openly.

Two people on twitter can talk but major media will not touch the issue. Big Tech has removed well researched books and movies that legitimately question vaccine safety. No liability for manufactures, aggressive mandates. Not the actions of side with much confidence.

I’m all for liability and safety. The problem is people are abstaining wholly from vaccines not due to any evidence, but due to misinformation on mommy blogs and personal hunches. Is this really worth risking the return of polio and smallpox?

The science is weak to non existent. No retrospective Vax/Unvax studies, no double blind placebo studies. There is no good system to track injuries. Post licensure studies are poor. There is a reason major media will not have someone like Robert Kennedy on to debate science

I still think you’re taking vaccines for granted— i.e. how they all but erased the devastating human toll of diseases like smallpox, polio, and measles—as though their benefits are worth nothing against your unfounded hunch about “injuries”

Pre vaccine, measles was not considered serious. In fact a women having measles as girl allowed her to pass on passive immunity thought the placenta to her infant child. Infants are now at risk of measles because a vaccinated women can not pass passive immunity to her infant

Me: Wow, measles sucks and kills lots of kids. Since there’s zero evidence vax harms and plenty of evidence it helps, let’s vax the kids. You: My granny says measles ain’t so bad. Besides, if we all just let ourselves get measles, we wouldn’t need vaccines! ???

I’d need to know what else correlates to vaccinations at that age. I doubt there is exactly one thing.

Either way we need better science
