Its the followers he's gaining that supposed he is exploiting. *shrug* Some people gain followers by being witty, or entertaining, or showing cleavage. Some people give away money. I'm not sure I get the outrage.

Not necessarily him that is datamining. But he now has access to anyone who donates to orgs he is working with. Also anyone that signs up for the cash app that he promotes (JackD) Also all info and tweets of anyone that accepts gifts he has rights to.
