“Need" can arise at a time that person can’t afford.
I heard from an expert that a tax adds "friction." So that poor lady who can barely afford a gun will go without and end up vulnerable to crime. Don't forget the net benefit of that margin purchase that would be lost.
Now, law abiding poor citizens, who happen to be the most vulnerable & most likely to live in high crime areas, are priced out of the gun market due entirely to “gun control”. This is where 80%+ of so called “gun violence” happens.
Bad friction; not good friction.
