Thought experiment: If NEW gun purchases with high capacity clips required insurance, the way autos do, would that effectively price most young males out of the market because of risk? We'd still have plenty of weapons, but mostly owned by the safest demographics. Discuss.

background checks are defacto registries. New jersey Banned High cap magazines. NOT ONE was turned in. so, they just made felons out of law abiding citizens

the cost of my gun is what I pay someone to purchase it. the government putting extra requirements, like insurance, fees for larger mags and so on to artificially make it harder to own one us infringement. isn't police and health care the "True Cost" of living in a free society?

The cost of your gun also covers the internal insurance costs of the manufacturer. That's priced in. Your insurance could be priced in as well at time of purchase. The Constitution does not guarantee you any cost advantages.

shall, not should, not might, SHALL not be infringed. I don't like background checks because they are defacto registries. You go unarmed and if we are together having dinner, I'll protect you
