Self defense is a right and even the smallest minority, an individual, deserves and (likely) needs access via the cheapest and most powerful means (read firearms). You can’t tax or limit rights with markets. You are making a fundamental error in basic American civics here.

Incorrect. People have the right to free speech, but still have to buy means of communication such as TV time or newspaper space if they wish to use them.
