Thought experiment: If NEW gun purchases with high capacity clips required insurance, the way autos do, would that effectively price most young males out of the market because of risk? We'd still have plenty of weapons, but mostly owned by the safest demographics. Discuss.

Who is doing all the shooting with high capacity magazines? (or clips, I'm in UK not sure the correct nomenclature) Are those who are doing the shooting with those high capacity doing it with legally owned guns?

Do the young, male poor have any less of a constitutional right than rich old females?

Given the firearms used on most mass shootings haven't been cheap & the shooters haven't been from poor families, you are targeting the wrong people.

The Columbine shooters were far from poor. I know quite a bit about that one since my nephew is a survivor. The STEM shooter and Aurora Theatre shooter, also not poor. Then we do have the poor in Chicago, they aren't going to abide by any requirements.

BTW, I actually do have insurance for my CCP, just in case I actually have to use it. It's for legal protection. Is that the type of insurance you are talking about?
