This theory is inaccurate and slanderous. You should delete it. I have had extensive private conversations with Bill on his intentions, both before his philanthropy and during, and I can confirm he’s in it to stimulate giving. There is no profit motive. He doesn’t need profit.

I am genuinely happy for them. But still... Agree to disagree on this. Keep up the good fight on the Fentanyl stuff. So many families have been ruined by it.

Curious to know your ideas on how to successfully give money? I’d consider this a half-pinion. Was the question asked why he was collecting the data? Is that question asked of any other seemingly successful philanthropist? Even if he, is it’s assumed it’s for good purposes?

Well that’s like him being a fairy godmother. Nice for them though sad to see all the ppl that did not get the prize opening up their personal life online. Expecting something that’s not going to happen. It’s exploiting ppl who need money. And it’s using money to manipulate.

I fail to see either the exploitation or an expectation. All you do is retweet in most cases. Its equivalent to a free lottery ticket with substantially better odds. If I am not mistaken there are many charities that do similar raffles and lotteries

I agree Scott. The demonisation of charitable people is baffling. Except that- the net good that is done ‘appears’ to be the target. I suggest watching this Ted Talk to see how demonising charity, as displayed in the OP, is extremely damaging: https://youtu.be/bfAzi6D5FpM
