Ok @justinsail & @GregoryMakles when you have time listen to this. I played it at 1.75x bc its long. A little dated. But excellent. Making Sense with Sam Harris #87 - Triggered (with Scott Adams) https://youtu.be/ClaJA0hqKE8  via @YouTube

I was exasperated. @ScottAdamsSays is a tireless defender with consistently the most charitable version of how to interpret Trump. With the lying, for example: of course Trump uses hyperbole but he also just makes shit up.

Fair to say you were “triggered”? 😂. I think @ScottAdamsSays has the most unemotional and honest take of the two movies that both halves of country are watching. Trump, a high persuader, is completely foreign in modern political discourse. And many just don’t know how to handle.

Sure, I’m triggered by Trump and by baseless assumptions that he’s got anyone’s best interests at heart than his own or his family’s. It’s useful to know how his spell is cast and what is on the other movie screen but since it’s not a spell I fell under, its exasperating.

How could Trump serve himself and his family without doing a great job as president? There is no other path.

Hey @ScottAdamsSays ! Nice to have you in the convo ;) you’ve definitely been a topic of it so far... Ultimately, yes, if he were a great president it would serve him well of course. But that’s not the only path. He could continue to undermine the country’s interests...

... and promote his own, narrow ones for his family and business. Those are not aligned. The only incentive that is would be his role in the history books. His wealth and power depend on other factors like his relationship with Putin and his base of fans persuaded by his con.

It’s a very vague, totally unsustain accusation. Again, if it’s not specific it’s not persuasive. What personal interest did he serves against his own base?
