The tariffs and uncertainty are causing companies to rethink their supply chains (something they should have done yrs ago with west coast seaport strikes.) will take time but seems likely to happen now regardless of trade negotiations.

Having manufacturing nearer to end consumer is more environmentally sound, offers redundancy during times like these, and (with increased automation) is likely not significantly more costly.
