Have a better answer....or ANY answer for that matter.

Every educated citizen knows no Republican can get elected by going against the NRA. That puts the NRA in control of all of our gun laws. Every one.
-
I’d rather lawful gun owners ultimately be responsible for defending the Second Amendment than an emotionally whipped up mob.
-
Both sides are emotionally whipped up mobs.
-
If the NRA controls every gun law, why do they ever need to challenge them in court? Also, do Rs control gun law in CA?

Wrong. The government is self-interested. Their mission at every level is to extend their own reach and power. It's only to the extent that we are able to keep political forces of all kinds involved in the process that we check this power they seek.
-
Every organization is self-interested. The NRA is mostly funded by gun makers.
-
You have a typo. "makers" should be "owners"
-
Makers = 74%
-
Again, who cares? Gun makers also represent me in the sense they make a product available to me I need. We need their voice at the table just like we need many others to limit the government's power of coercion against the individual. Think China. 0 individual rights
-
Do you generally prefer private industry making decisions instead of elected representatives, or only on this topic? NRA is mostly funded by gun makers.
-
Elected officials HAVE made the decision on this topic, and you just don’t like it. That’s not the same thing as elected officials not making the decision.
#Strawman -
It's not a "decision" if the alternative is losing your job. No Republican can stand up to the NRA and stay on the job.

Does the NRA not represent its members? It seems like a good example of government by the people.
-
Not relevant. They are not the government.
-
Wait...what? They are only relevant if part of the government?pic.twitter.com/SQAWtVJUtg

Your criticism of your hallucination of my opinion is noted.
