You should take my lead and try sounding intelligent and plausible! It's great!

Why don’t you start with this “500% richer” nonsense. By what measure, that is appropriate for society or individuals, are you using where this can objectively be demonstrated?

Do you have access to "the Internet" where you are? It's full of facts and stuff.

I do. Show me some “facts”. Your tweets seem to lack them. That’s my point.

Or there’s Stern, who isn’t too cheerful about the negative impact of climate change on the economy.

And yet the only "official" economic forecasts are for a trivial (not enough to notice) impact over 80 years. That's what the U.N. says. They just word it differently so it sounds scary.

In 80 years there’ll be millions of climate refugees, but it’ll still seem insignificant to the more privileged classes.

"Millions of climate refugees" over 80 years is a trivial problem. The world would barely notice. And they'd probably move to better opportunities. Compare mobility 80 years ago to today, now imagine 80 years in the future.

Now imagine that in 80 years we look back and say that we weren’t complete morons and we began to reduce emissions! Imagine the economic and environmental benefits!
