To put this in perspective, we wouldn't even notice that our GDP in 80 years is 10.5% lower than it could have been. Society will be about 500% richer by then. This is great news disguised as terrible news.https://twitter.com/afreedma/status/1163500017681862656 …

Great 1984 doublespeak, moron. You have a knack of using wacky assumptions as fact and stringing together specious arguments that sound intelligent and plausible.

You should take my lead and try sounding intelligent and plausible! It's great!

Why don’t you start with this “500% richer” nonsense. By what measure, that is appropriate for society or individuals, are you using where this can objectively be demonstrated?

Do you have access to "the Internet" where you are? It's full of facts and stuff.

I do. Show me some “facts”. Your tweets seem to lack them. That’s my point.

Or there’s Stern, who isn’t too cheerful about the negative impact of climate change on the economy.

And yet the only "official" economic forecasts are for a trivial (not enough to notice) impact over 80 years. That's what the U.N. says. They just word it differently so it sounds scary.

And 80 years is still a small period of time for ClimateChange, but that doesn’t mean we say that relatively small changes are insignificant and irrelevant. Assuming linear progression (it’s not) of sea level rise, seas will be 24 cm higher in 80 years.

That's all included in the economic forecasts that say it will be trivial in the long run (economically). Which means plenty of money to help the people in need.
