Question: If Trump’s rhetoric is so dangerous, why does the news have to lie about what he says to make it sound bad? Wouldn’t it sound bad all by itself?

Ad hominem attack doesn’t help your case. But from the outside looking in, your perspective comes off as a devout loyalist. Trump gaffe or straight up lie - “here’s what he REALLY meant.” When hyperbole is used against Trump, you want a strict standard of truth.

And with Charlottesville for example, you take Trump’s literal words & ignore everything else he said (ya know, the context) as a way to create a narrative as to how that situation was handled. Then engaged on a hoax-hashtag crusade. Sounds balanced.
