Considering how wrong you were earlier to believe that the so-called 'fine people' were mostly locals (remember https://twitter.com/AaronWorthing/status/1159960426429521921 …?), I am guessing you are not the most astute observer of what happens in this country.

      1. You haven’t disproven it 2. It was obvious in context it was just a guess. In this thread I’ve never offered more than guesses based on life experience

Michelle Piercey was not local. She came all the way from Kansas.

You need to recalibrate your "guesses based on life experience" because you keep on getting things wrong. You so desperately want Trump's "fine people" to exist that you've twisted your assumptions into a pretzel.

ALL available reporting (mainstream and amateur reporting on YouTube/twitter) depicts mostly out-of-towners who are too enthusiastic to defend Nazi speech and confederate statues for any reasonable person to label them fine people.

You haven’t shown that or any reasonable expectation that they would have worked out a census of all attendees, viewpoints and where they came from

Do I need to conduct a census of every square inch of the solar system to know that there isn't a teapot in orbit around the sun? You are trafficking in the argumentum ad ignorantiam fallacy.

Are you still f—king this chicken? Sorry, socrates said that the beginning of wisdom is “I don’t know.“ Pointing out that you don’t know enough to say one way or the other is wisdom, not a fallacy

Too bad our President lacks the wisdom to say that. He insists to this day that there were fine people on both sides without any evidence suggesting it.

I interviewed attendees and learned some number of them disavow all racism, did not "march with" the racists, just showed up for supporting free speech and historical monuments, the trouble started immediately, they left when police allowed them to:https://bit.ly/2vwqxLD

There were people here on Twitter the night of the event claiming they were tricked. None of the advertising up to that point (that I saw, anyway) referred to it as anything but a free speech eent.

Bluntly, one of the reasons why they choose an issue like this, is that the Nazis are hoping that respectable people show up in solidarity with the cause of keeping the statue up, even if they disagree up with them on everything else. It’s a deliberate strategy

Would the statue supporters be open to some new southern pride symbols, statues, flags that would honor the non racists of south and that don’t offend half the country?

I'm not Southern, got no Southern 'pride,' no sympathies at all for the confederacy, but I also don't want to see history and art binned over modern emotional eruptions.
