Prediction: People are going to DEMAND am apology for "reasons." Scott knows better and won't. Within a few weeks people are going to be aware of an interesting new use for WhenHub.

The number of times you have to trot out the same tired reply to the endless barrage of people rightly pointing out to you how tone-deaf you are should tell you that maybe - just maybe - you're in the wrong for once. Just a thought.pic.twitter.com/FD5M6oDgrm

To be clear, anyone that capitalizes on a tragedy for their personal gain is in the wrong, yes. To the extent the MSM does, yes, they’re wrong. Them doing it doesn’t excuse you doing it, though, because you aren’t doing this out of the goodness of your heart, either.

You saying “the MSM reporting shootings is as bad as me shilling my app to victims of a shooting, immediately after a shooting” is correct—you are as bad as that, except you aren’t even doing it to spread news like MSM, you’re doing it to make money from new users of your app.

Thankfully, the expectation is the MSM will run ads on ANY article they run, and generally not ads FOR that MSM org—meaning, their advertisement is at worst unpassionate and uncaring. Your ad is TO SHOOTING SURVIVORS, FOR SOMETHING YOU PROFIT FROM. That is not BETTER than MSM.

Your ad is as bad and tasteless as ABC, for example, going “Here at ABC, our hearts go out to the victims of the
#garlicfestivalshooting. Shooting survivors—check out our new ABC app for exclusive stories and coverage, only on#ABC!” That’s YOU, Scott. That’s AS BAD as you.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
