Also, the "regime" is not a country. Iran is a country which is seperate from the Islamic Republic, a brutal dictatorship, who has held the Iranian people hostage for 40 years.

How many times do you need to see Lebanon provoke war with Israel before it's evidence enough that these Middle Eastern countries believe and act on what is in evidence: the world condemns bigger, more powerful countries who defend against aggression by smaller, weaker ones?

The Ayatollahs want to preserve their lives. They need economic and military power of their nation to pursue fanatical religious agenda. So, they do not wish to destroy their nation. OTOH, what can be done to bring such fanaticism into line so they “behave like other nations”?
