Q: Is the key to getting @Kasparov63 back on top over the robots just mumbling “education & retraining” with ever greater conviction?
Good for @AndrewYang for pointing out that “The key is more education!” is just a slogan not a plan. He’ll take real heat...but he’s on target.https://twitter.com/AndrewYang/status/1130486501517778945 …

The Amish will still be making furniture, and people will still be buying it.

Music through AB testing? That would suck.
-
AB testing is exactly what the music industry does today. And if you just give a top 40s station a listen, you’ll see how right you are.

In (good) live music there's a sort of ESP like connection between players and audience - besides AI you're going to need something that somehow registers audience reactions in real time - seems like that will take longer than you're suggesting - but I'll never bet against you!

You sure nailed the databases idea that could determine citizenship without using the census. That’s why I follow you.

Follow this to its end. A million supercomputers, each creating 20-30 compositions per minute, each of which rivals Beethoven’s 5th. Who’s going to listen to these? No one will care. Fans need a story. They need an artist. Computers will never fill this role.

I mean, it exists now. AI can already create landscapes that rival the best photos ever taken. No one cares. We want Ansel Adams originals. For fans of art, the artist cannot be disregarded.
