I get it. Makes sense. I used to do a regular show and monetization was such a huge hassle I ended up turning it off. But you have far more viewers than I did. I see why their trolling your videos would have a negative impact—perhaps their motivation for doing it.
It's all about politics like everything else. Always has been and always will be. I've been watching Scott's videos for a while now and have never seen a single thing that would violate any term of service. Maybe a PG-13 word on a very rare occasion that flies everywhere else.
Maybe YouTube is trying to disincentive long form video. More expensive to curate and distribute.
