I've a separate philosophical argument, but this makes me think more interestingly, since credibility is subjective, what if we started by asking women how much input men should get? We should have a kind of "market" to determine exactly what credibility means to society @ large.

Which is why I suggest "just" would be used, as in "a just law". In that case it matters less what gender the persons who drew up that law identified as. Even though in its pure form it might be unattainable, neutrality is still worth striving for.

A just law might be considered a goal, whereas a credible law might be considered a system or process for obtaining it.
