Feel free to provide an answer. I am not the only one who would appreciate learning about these fine defenders of free speech who were legally, quietly protesting with their permit but not with the Nazis.

So they are free speech advocates defending history when it comes to statues of dead losers and a Lost Cause but not when it comes to their own reputations. Seems perfectly reasonable. I just want to know who they are. So far I’ve got 3 plus sone others from

Let's see how many times I can say, "supporting free speech" and you can change that into "defending dead loser racists" so you have something to say after being humiliated for your wrongness in public.

I never said racists, btw. Dead losers (as in the Confederate States of America, which lost) and a Lost Cause, which is a common term of reference for the Confederacy.

The point is the same. You need to change "free speech" to something unrelated to criticize it. I realize it is hard to believe people support speech they do not personally agree with, but remember the ACLU once did the same. Now only happens on the right.
