Strange you say that, given the NY Times at the time specifically interviewed a protestor who was there who wasn't a white nationalist. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/16/us/politics/trump-republicans-race.html …pic.twitter.com/smNpI2MbhI

What the NYT newsflash actually said was that they have "no interest in standing with nazis or white supremacists". I suppose if you keep repeating the lies to yourself they might start to seem true? Bad strategy for your long term mental health in my opinion, but you be you.pic.twitter.com/uvQTy0jlyJ
According to the New York Times they weren't standing with nazis. It's weird you believe you know better - were you there interviewing everyone in attendance?
Ok, so I should believe some randomer (you, in this case) rather than the reporters who were actually there talking to people who were actually there about why they were actually there.
Sure, that makes sense...
Indeed. It said there were people there solely because they objected to historical statues being taken down, and who wanted nothing to do with nazis. Sound like fine people to me.
I will inform the two Jewish attendees who spoke to me about it. They thought it was a “unite the right” event because it was advertised ambiguously. They support free speech but dislike neo-Nazis. Obviously.
Well, it's certainly made my morning seeing you join the thread!
