Why is it that the same people who are too scared to debate (@MichaelEMann @KHayhoe, etc.) - are also the ones who say the debate is over?

I can't find any information on how much warming is caused by air conditioning alone (not counting the energy used) yet. I have never heard anyone pose a question like that. All I can find so far, air conditioning will make AGW worse due to energy used and pollution.

Yes, any kind of energy release will contribute to a warmer atmosphere, including volcanoes and human-related activities

It’s a trivial amount of heat compared to the overall climate system, which receives 50,000 times as much energy from the sun than the output of all the world’s power generation. https://ag.tennessee.edu/solar/Pages/What%20Is%20Solar%20Energy/Sun's%20Energy.aspx …

We’re talking about a few degrees of heat over decades. Seems relevant.

Maybe you're forgetting that a/c units are taking warm air from the same place they're expelling to. So they're taking warm air out of the environment as well as adding it into the environment.
-
The effect is very simple. If an A/C unit consumes 1,000 BTU's, then 1,000 BTU's get released into the ambient air.

Does this heat not simply radiate out of the atmosphere, into space?
-
Not immediately.
