Most of the observation stations seem to be at airports. Apparently, they were moved to airports for a good reason.

That's off point. My point is that AC units should produce warmer days and cooler nights all over. Doesn't matter where the thermometers are.

Looks like air conditioning is a positive feedback: the warmer the planet is the more electricity you have to use, the more fossil fuels you burn. So this would be an amplified feedback loop. They pollute:https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/07/180703141439.htm …

The energy part is obvious, but doesn't directly adding warmth to the atmosphere also make the world warmer? There must be something I am missing.

Your house doesn’t warm itself up. It heats up inside from solar radiation and air warmed by same. The air-con just transfers it back outside where it would have been in the first place, if your house didn’t exist.

Of course it does. All of the energy being consumed by the A/C unit eventually leaks into the outside air as heat, causing the temperature to rise. The consumption of energy in cities is one of the major causes of Urban Heat Island effects.

In houses without AC wouldn't the same heat exchange take place? More efficient AC systems now cool attic space and have thermostat controlled attic fans that keep the attic at a constant temperature.

It is a simple application of the first law of thermodynamics. Energy is neither created or destroyed. If you burn fossil fuels you convert chemical energy into thermal energy, which warms the atmosphere.
