"No, no. There were people in that rally -- and I looked the night before -- if you look, there were people protesting very quietly the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee." He's referring to the tiki torch rally here.

He is talking about the peaceful protesters, who HAD a permit, and then talks about the thugs that came in and totally condemns them. “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.”. How can it be any clearer?

The permit was obtained by Jason Kessler, a Nazi.

True but off point. Others attended, as the NYTs reported, and my own reporting confirmed:https://bit.ly/2vwqxLD

Yeah, I read it. He claims that there were non-Nazis participating, and cites a woman who is a recruiter for a neoconfederate militia.

Neoconfederate doesn't prove Nazi. Scott also claimed there was a Jewish man present. At the time, I saw a black man among the statue supporters. You're not claiming you know via mind reading powers that they were all secret Nazis, are you?

I know his name and have his contact information, from another attendee. Haven't spoken to him yet. But this is good context.pic.twitter.com/Lpi5vvzuyY

Donald must not be American because it's common knowledge that there has been debate about what the Confederacy means to different people. This debate has been going on for a good 40 years. Donald, I advise you to talk to more than just your Mom and Dad. Explore the world.
