Why do we need to protect unfair systems?

I really don't think you played sports on a serous level. Many have talent catagories or levels that smooth most variables out. Additionally, everyone has +/- that creates a level field.

True fairness would mean all NBA players are the same height. True fairness would mean all MLB pitchers throw the same speed. True fairness would mean all NFL players run the same 40 yard dash. Sports are not fair. Not even close. We just like to pretend they are.

Look Scott. I raced bicycles for years at a very hi level. Everyone was matched very closely. That's why a little testosterone or blood doping makes a big difference in a race. And, team sports need workers that will never win except for team wins. Workers know their role.

So? There are plenty of mismatches in sports. More than there are equal competition, I would think.

"luck is generally the biggest factor, incl. the luck of your DNA and your living circumstances." Provably wrong. One answer to your 'better DNA is luck' arg. is that training can close the gap, right? So Scott, who is the uberathlete? The maxed out combo? Should be obvious.
