Really? Sounds like she watched this on the news. As did I, live on both CNN & Fox News.

I understand. I'm not denying that he said he wasn't talking about Nazis. I'm saying, there weren't good people on the side of the Nazis. There weren't anyone but Nazis and those willing to march with them. And those willing to march with them are not good people.

Oathkeepers and other groups were there that are specifically anti-fascist and anti-nazi. The chants did scare away many people by the second day however. If this is an association thing, there were no fine people on either side. Both sides had extremists and terrorists.

that is my point-- no good person wouldt have participated in the march once it clearly became associated with such vile ideas.

Yet Trump's comment was mostly targetted to the people there the night before the big clash. Besides, if you beleive in something, is it really the more moral stance to abandon it because people you disagree with on other matters agree with your particular idea?

cmon. we're not talking about disagreements about policy. We are talking about staying around when people were marching with nazi slogans and chanting blood an soil and jews will not replace us. Stop white washing these people. and Trump's comments were not so limited.

Let's give him the benefit of the doubt--that he didn't refer to Neo-Nazis. My point remains. Even if they were there to protest monuments (which you didn't hear at all in the chanting)-- you aren't a fine person if you march with white supremacists.

he wasn't asked bout who was in Charlottesville at the time. He was asked about the march---obviousliy there were good people in Charlottesville --and what we had all witnessed.

and by the way, white nationalists rejoiced in what Trump said--why is that do you think?

also, this president doesn't deserve any benefit of the doubt. Remember when he refused to condemn David Duke, instead pretending that he didn't know who he was??
