I look for people who were skeptics who have changed their minds or the reverse. Richard Mueller was a scientist who was a skeptic for reasons above but after much work with competent careful scientists, he now agrees with global warming and CO2 being the culprit.

One example. In 1983 I was working on the Safety Analysis Report for the DOE's nuclear waste disposal site in the Permian Basin. My boss came in and said "You are doing very good work. Great work. Just make sure to not find anything wrong with the project." I quit the next day
