We had a whistleblower.... the guy who leaked the Climategate emails in 2009. He remains anonymous because the ultra-vicious climate mafia would destroy him.https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1120788428113596418 …

There is no wiggle room in this Climategate email. Scientists from different groups colluded to come up with a common temperature graph which cooled the past - and they did it without even having an explanation. Claims of data independence are incorrect. https://realclimatescience.com/2019/04/dilbert-vs-scott-adams/ …pic.twitter.com/JhIwRqoHin

The email doesn't say what you are saying. I'm looking right at it. It is obviously casual language about how to explain something that doesn't yet match their theory/belief.

"if we could reduce the ocean blip by, say, 0.15 degC, then this would be significant for the global mean -- but we'd still have to explain the land blip." These are scientists from different groups talking about coming to a common temperature which "removes the blip". And .....pic.twitter.com/1QFzKx1yuT

Yes. This is the scandal. The language in the email is a straw man. The scandal is the conspiracy to meddle with data, hide data, and mislead public to support their religion.

But the point is NASA/NOAA DID lower the recorded 40's warming from the historical record... several decades after the fact. They just pretend it was not as warm as the record showed. They can "adjust" anything they want to make their case.

Shouldn't they try to understand the blip rather than remove it to ensure the data aligns with their hypothesis? That seems kinda backwards, no?

I think Scott’s view is more in tune with the optimistic assumption that not everyone who is doing this work is evil. I hope that’s true. Note however, the fact they cannot explain the “blip” does not make me trust the consensus view any further.

Something "that doesn't yet match their theory/belief"? The data say "X". We theorize/believe it would be "good" if the data says something other than "X". Are you serious that you don't see a problem w/ that?
