@ScottAdamsSays fails to impress on this issue. "It doesn't matter what the rules are as long as they are the same for everyone." and "sports is inherently unfair, so forget about fairness" are both gross oversimplifications. I declare @ScottAdamsSays periscope "word-salad".

This topic for some reason boils my blood~There are female athletes who have worked really hard and a sports scholarship is their ticket to college. To have biological males swoop in is wrong on so many levels!
-
And it is wrong that tall people made the basketball team and I didn't! I put in just as much work! (All sports are totally unfair all the time. That's why you watch them.)

Free will is an illusion at this level of analysis. Illusions matter. Very few people view sports with this deterministic framework so it is at the very least questionable whether that is a useful framework to use. Beliefs change outcomes, so maintaining the illusion matters.

At the risk of using an analogy, persuading
@ScottAdamsSays on this topic is like trying to persuade a nihilist who they should vote for. The nihilist doesn't care about voting.@ScottAdamsSays doesn't care what the rules in sports are. Discussion over. -
