I think the argument is that sport is already 100%, totally, unfair. Adding a multiplier keeps unfairness at 100%, still totally unfair. I see sports as a less bloody way to ascertain hierarchies in the absence of being hunters providing food. Or warriors, providing protection.

Is sports really that bad? Humans spend a substantial percentage of their time and resources on sports. Are they really just trying to humiliate each other? I see a lot of other, more significant, things going on.
