Yes they are offensive and yes some people want to preserve history. Both can be true and a conflict in some people’s minds. Doesn’t make them bad people as Scott said. I’m in favor or moving monuments to battlefields that mark the conflict and provide context.

Hey Bakari, I love historical statues of all types and if they offend you?, I really dont care. When we try to erase our history, instead of learning from it so we can see that evil exists in this world, then that is a bigger problem than snowflakes like you being "offended"
