Oh brother....the whole climate change hysteria is a complete conspiracy theory...based on 100 years of manipulated data and some correlation of C02 and 1 degree of change - all well within a margin of error of nothing.

Not one word of that is actually accurate. We have far more than a century’s data, countless proxies beyond direct measurements which are extensor well established and have held up to extensive scrutiny, and no the margin of error relative to change isn’t what you seem to think.

Except you must ignore a lot of data - like the Greenland numbers and the US....1.5 C....so what....why do we think that is a bad thing? Western civilization was started by the European warming. We just don't know. We - you can't know that for certain. It's amazing the arrogance

When we discuss climate we talk about global systems. Even in the present warming there were regions where there was a net decline. That doesn’t mean the global change isn’t positive. Nobody is ignoring Greenland. I’m really not sure where you’re getting your info from. Sources!

Exactly my point. Again how do we know the 1 degree is bad? how do we know it will keep rising when all the past models have been incorrect? I'm asking real questions here - not trying to attack. I just don't understand the arrogance of the claims of knowing the planet that well

Re: "how do we know it will keep rising when all the past models have been incorrect?" You simply fabricated that claim, as per your politically-motivated denialism https://www.carbonbrief.org/analysis-how-well-have-climate-models-projected-global-warming … https://twitter.com/AtomsksSanakan/status/920531988255211520 …pic.twitter.com/cabB0oWyPA

No the predictions have been way off since they were made in the 70's. Ice melt, ocean levels...all way off.

The key is that multiple, independent data lead to the same conclusion: the trend of warming is up. Also that the patterns we see correspond to: Anthropogenic CO2 + Natural Variability = AGWpic.twitter.com/nccwZz2W1x

Can you give me the layperson explanation of why the graph that clearly disproves a C02 correlation with temperature is actually the best evidence of C02 driving temperature? What I see here is a similar rate of increase in periods with wildly different C02.

      1) Graph shows no CO2, just shows temperature 2) 1891-1950 GA + Natural Variability roughly equal influence 3) 1951-1975 GA warming offset by natural cooling (AMO) 4) 1976-1997 GA forcing dominated warming 5) 2001-2013 strongest GA warming, offset by -solar + la nina GA = GHG

Thank you. Interestingly, this puts the lie to "unprecedented rate of warming," which is the primary claim the public hears about climate change. Apparently the real story doesn't sell, as in "First time we are sure CO2 is the driver, but increases like this are common."

But "we are sure" because it's the first time CO2 has been there to be the driver. That hardly proves it is. Although, yes, it probably has a lot to do with it.

Looks like you have a steady rate of warming increase (without the natural factors) but it is modulated by the natural variations, so you get warming-slowing-warming, etc. when you add them together. When you get natural warming + anthro warming you get a higher rate overall.

As CO2 goes up, so does temperature, in modern times. Natural cycles will still do its thing but don't significantly determine the trend up by themselves. is the way I interpret the best research.

The 1990 IPCC report showed no correlation between CO2 and temperature over the past 1,000 years, or for the past 10,000 years - but feel free to keep parroting the same misinformation over and over again. That is what climate alarmists do.pic.twitter.com/kjdqp4PjHC
