A saying, The reason for all behavior is due to either Sex, power, money or religion. It’s money. Banks, investors etc. It’s money. Google who profits from climate change. You’ll have your answer.

Not everything in politics is a power grab. That is a false premise. There is a constant struggle between the lords and the people. The lords want to oppress the people and the people want to be left alone.-Machiavelli

People who want to rule other people are drawn to Government. Until such a time as they over reach. When they over reach the people rise up to put an end to it. Backing the GND is an excuse to grab power.

The scientists are an excuse. They did not come up with GND. Take or manufacture a crises to seize power is a classic strategy. If the people who support GND really were concerned about climate change why aren’t they looking at the biggest polluters and solving that problem?

GND excises fossil fuel industries from power. That's as good as a grab. GND consigns travelers to trains, dictates food choices, and regulates energy supplies. See? Science has already spoken.
