True because people aren’t persuaded by analogies unfortunately. But they seem to reveal their preferences. Has the media chosen a side on the #GreenNuclearDeal ?
They haven’t yet. They haven’t entered the conversation yet. Once they have they will learn how the new technology is what they dreamed “renewables” could be and much more. They will choose the smart answer. Mainly because it is obvious.
In my experience, if you talk about nuclear submarines, it makes explaining the safety of the technology easier.

Funny thing is that on Submarines there are distinct actions that operators have seconds to take to keep the reactor away from an accident. They are just Gen II reactors that have been luckier than the commercial industry. FYI I served on three Submarines.
In 60 years of activity, 200 people have died due to nuclear accidents. 586 people were killed at Tenerife in a horrible airport disaster. Yet we still fly. Flying is safer than driving. And nuclear energy is far safer than flying. Some fears are beyond irrational.
