Can we have a @snopes ruling on the myth that President Trump called neo-Nazis and racists "fine people" after Charlottesville? Transcript attached to highlight Trump's clear statement that he "condemned totally" the racists in Charlottesville.pic.twitter.com/YDLdrUG0lL

When the Daily Stormer, David Duke & those douchebag nazis from the Vice doc all think Trump had their back bc of “both sides”, the only myth is in your mind. Don’t die on this hill. Stop carrying water for your boy.https://thinkprogress.org/infamous-neo-nazi-website-praises-trumps-racist-remarks-58f40bbe7487/ …

Those of us who are paying attention understand that one of the most common elements of everyday life is people liking the same thing for completely different reasons. You like Vegas for the prostitution and I like it for the shows.

Petty insults aside. A big part of the POTUS’s job is communicating to the public. Even if one were to assign the best intentions to Trump, he failed to communicate his point in an effective way to send a clear message where racists thought he was dog whistling to them. Fact.

I don’t know anyone arguing that he is sensitive in his communication.

Fine. But even if you give him the most charitable assessment,I think an accurate judgment of his performance is that he did a bad job in the press conference. Why is that hard to admit? He inflamed tensions, instead of easing them. Protecting this air of infallibility is foolish
