I think this is a rare case where he got ahead of himself and voiced some hasty notions, which is no crime. Scott's created a great platform and forum to discuss controversial issues like this and I hope he continues an interest in this. Few people with his profile will risk it.

Incorrect. My opinion is completely defensible. My critics are arguing the wrong point, repeating endlessly that the transgender female athlete usually has an unfair advantage, which is not in dispute.

Yes, okay...the transgender female (formerly male) athlete usually has an unfair advantage over female athletes, not disputed. And I believe you say that this is no different than the type of advantage LeBron say, has over his typical adversaries, so what's the problem? Correct?

Okay, got it...good! However, I think it's an error (qual and quantitatively) to equate the difference between LeBron and his average competitor to that between a trans-female and her average competitor. For various reasons, the differences between the latter are FAR larger...so

I think the bottom line is that there must be a limit to "unfair advantage" in sports - which is why in fighting sports there are weight classes, or why doping is illegal. As far as i can see Scott believes those limits stretches farther than most people would like to.
