I recuse myself on the topic of abortion politics, but I’m with @Alyssa_Milano on this question. Who really believes Democrats favor killing babies after birth? Absurd.https://twitter.com/Alyssa_Milano/status/1105523729533202432 …

Have you read the Born Alive bill? What possible objection could they have had?

If they were rational and agreed with the general idea, then they would propose an amendment to address the poor formation of the legislation. Or at least debate an alternative. They can't, it is a matter of faith to them.

Current legislation already makes infanticide illegal.

Poorly worded legislation is virtually the only kind that exists. Legislators get paid to vote. They, not us, are the ones with the chance to vote yes, or properly word it by amendment, or vote no. Then deal with the consequences of what their vote says about them.

Scott, did you read the legislation? What stood out to you as being “poorly formed?”
-
There is more than one thing the democrats stand for which I think is absurd. That is not an argument Scott. I don't believe they are eager to kill human lives. But I very well believe that they just cannot see that these ARE human lives.

If the Democrats vote against the born-alive legislation because they feel it is poorly formed then it is incumbent upon them to create better legislation that they can vote for
