Wouldn’t a simulation (we are living in a computer) require the same pasts, given that there could not be different algorithms for an event? Meaning that the algorithm/mathematical equation either produced an event, on record, with complete objectivity, or it did not.

The quantum state is subject to its observation and by definition exists in multiple states until it is observed. This is no different IMO to the stock market. If you simply observe versus participate you will know the difference.
