Science might have just proved we live in a Simulation. Turns out there might be no objective reality, which has been my working assumption for most of my adult life.https://twitter.com/techreview/status/1105390416210288641 …

If there were objective morality we would probably agree what it is. We don’t.

Isn't that probability also impacted by the "two movies" situation? So that the objectivity of morality matters relatively little?

You're assuming objectivity is determined by the human mind. Objectivity would necessitate transcending the human mind/experience. You're superimposing agnosticism.

There is objective mortality. Evil is worship of suffering for the sake of suffering. You cannot undermine suffering with scepticism or relativism. It is real no matter how relative is your philosophy. Good is much broader and discoverable via negativa.

"We can't reach 100% consensus on morality so nothing is real" has got to be the most fallacious argument that so-called intellectuals are embarrassingly proud to offer.

A short essay about objective morality you might find interesting: https://bit.ly/2XTUxhq  "People may be sometimes mistaken about them, just as people sometimes get their sums wrong; but they are not a matter of mere taste and opinion any more than the multiplication table."

Re: "If there were objective morality we would probably agree what it is." Objectively true =/= generally agreed upon. It was objectively true that universe was billions of years old, before anyone ever agreed to that. https://www.ajol.info/index.php/hts/article/viewFile/56683/45104 …pic.twitter.com/vZCD4kgmv9
