I believe Scots argument isn’t about the existence of an objective advantage. His argument is the subjective term “fair”, which can be defined anyway one chooses. “Objective” reasons behind subjective terms are selected through confirmation bias.

Ignoring the objective reasons behind segregated sports for the sake of other subjective opinions is just as short sided. The potential for increased injury to participants being one. No sane coach would allow Adams against James because the potential for injury is too great.
