When they show you their "estimated and adjusted" graphs that prove the UHI effect does not exist you know they are full of it. Even the EPA admits UHI can create as much as 12° F warming in and around cities. Common sense says they are wrong.
From the late 1990s, BBC weather forecasters stopped mentioning that central London was up to 3 or 4°C warmer than the surrounding areas. After exposure and much criticism, they're once again acknowledging the fact.
