What just doesn’t seem to wash with me is why there isn’t more push for nuclear. If the climate science is accurate, there’s no stopping the cascade of warming and water that’s coming our way. Our best money is in nuclear and preparation for our new reality.

Re: "If the climate science is accurate, there’s no stopping the cascade of warming" Nope. Increased CO2 causes warming. So less CO2 emissions means less CO2-induced warming That is climate science 101.

Yes, but we’re already warming at an alarming rate are we not? And it’s not like we’re just going to magically be able to turn off emissions tomorrow. Global emissions are still increasing and will continue to. Do you believe wind and solar can tackle this issue?

Re: "Yes, but we’re already warming at an alarming rate are we not?" I'm not interested in how the emotions non-experts have to it. I'm interested in the science. Re: "Do you believe wind and solar can tackle this issue?" Don't have an opinion on that. https://twitter.com/AtomsksSanakan/status/1067327625830518785 …pic.twitter.com/A8tRvC7NX6

Well what’s the point then? You just want to argue the science with people who obviously don’t want to listen to you. You can argue till you’re 6 feet underwater. Being right isn’t gonna do much good now then is it?

Well according to your own metric you’re not winning the debate you’re losing it. So the answer is to just keep doing the same thing and hope to get different results? Spot on!

When it comes to Climate Change, the believer should should start from the point of view that the denier has no leg to stand on.

The debate IS over... nothing that the deniers have brought to bear in 50 years of argument has reversed the worldwide consensus. If the deniers had any real arguments against climate change, they would have brought them forward by now and started winning debates.

There are "debates", but no DEBATE. I just watched a doc about flat-earthers on Netflix. It's amazing how large the crowds at their conferences are. But there is no "debate" about the flatness of the earth, either.

What's the most serious barrier to climate action in the US? That we don't think it matters. For years, those have been the lowest numbers in the @YaleClimateComm polls -- but finally, they're changing fast. See 2 figs on lower right. pic.twitter.com/9WuvF44RUx

More evidence that most people of the world are concerned about AGW. We can't judge things by this channel or the WH: Pew Research http://www.pewglobal.org/2019/02/10/climate-change-still-seen-as-the-top-global-threat-but-cyberattacks-a-rising-concern/ …
