It's a flawed analogy when #ClimateChange proponents say skeptics are the equivalent of 'Flat Earthers.' Back in the day, the scientific consensus concluded that the earth WAS flat. It was the SKEPTICS who believed the earth was round. By golly, they were right. @ScottAdamsSays

I'd like a climate denier to explain why we are approaching 50 years of this issue not going away, and in fact, only becoming more and more of a concern.

Money and confirmation bias would be the skeptical claim.

Even the conservatives have mostly come around to accepting climate change. Now their argument is pro-permafrost thawing.

There is obviously much, MUCH more money in maintaining the status quo, so that argument falls apart quickly. And "confirmation bias" is a little too much of a go-to to take seriously. Problems that aren't real don't tend to pick up steam over the course of two generations.

I believe Mr. Adams was partly referring to the amount of money available for scientific grants, thus creating a motive to scientifically lean toward one direction.

97% of climate scientists agree they want to keep their jobs and be recognized in prestigious academic journals for "saving the planet".

Ah, yes. And the coal barons and oil CEOS, Saudi Princes and Ayatollahs-- they are eager to accept their obsolescence, I gather?
